Setup
First, get the WPForms Coupons addon. Since I’ll be showing you how to create coupons and customize forms, you’ll need the addon to get started.
Then, head over to WPForms » Payments and click on the Coupons tab.
Now you’re ready to go!
1. Follow Phases with Your Marketing Strategy
Ramadan is celebrated in four phases over a few weeks, which offer unique opportunities to modify your marketing strategy.
The first two weeks of celebration include activities like creating or buying decorations and gathering ingredients for traditional Ramadan recipes.
The following two weeks look forward to the festive stage of Eid, and many shoppers are buying and gifting new fashions and beauty-related products to celebrate the final event of the holiday.
So, you could capitalize on these phases by highlighting the types of products or services you offer that Ramadan observers would be looking for in each part of the celebration.
2. Use Ramadan Themed Discount Codes
Then, when running your sales through each phase of the holiday, be sure to play into the Ramadan celebration with the discounts and coupons you create.
Your coupon codes are one of the most visible aspects of a sale, so it’s important to keep these codes on theme!
Here’s a handful of Ramadan 2024 coupon codes I’ve made just for fun that you might like to use with your own discounts:
RAMADAN24
GIVE2024
LIGHTUP20
EIDGIFT2024
MOON4U
These coupon codes use variations of words related to the Ramadan holiday so that they’re relevant and easy to spell and remember. I’ve also used some key numbers, too, representing the current year or discount offered.
What sort of Ramadan-related code combinations will you come up with?
3. Host a Ramadan Giveaway
The act of giving is a major part of Ramadan, so the celebratory season is the perfect time to host a giveaway contest on your site!
A giveaway not only drives traffic to your site, but it can also lend itself to the sales you’re running during this time, too.
In fact, when we ran our own giveaway here at WPForms to promote a Black Friday sale, it was incredibly clear that our giveaway contributed to the direct success of our sale. It was our biggest and best one yet!
As for organizing and managing our giveaways, we employ RafflePress to take care of pretty much everything for us. Check out our full review of the RafflePress plugin to find out why we prefer it over other options.

4. Create Break-Fast Food Specials
Since fasting is another major element of Ramadan, observers of the holiday are eager to break their fast with delicious meals and treats!
So, if you operate a restaurant or sell food and edible items on your website, you could offer specials and discounts for the Ramadan holiday.
Like all of my suggestions here, creating specials for food items is a simple process with WPForms and the Coupons addon.
You simply open your order form in the WPForms form builder, drag and drop the Coupon field to your food order form, and select the coupon that you made earlier in the Coupons tab!

5. Run an Email Marketing Campaign
Once you have your sales, coupons, giveaways, or other events configured, you need to spread the word! Like the previous marketing strategies I’ve covered here, your email campaign should remain on-theme.
Opportunities to incorporate Ramadan are presented in your email subject line, the verbiage used in your message, and the styling, images, and graphics that are included in the email.
In terms of this styling, you might feature crescent moons, praying hands, and lanterns to include the symbols commonly associated with Ramadan.
6. Promote Events on Social Media
Alongside your email marketing campaign, be sure to promote your sales and events on social media.
Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and X (formerly Twitter) are a few of the popular platforms where you want to regularly remind your audience of your Ramadan plans.
Social media is a great tool for sharing your coupon codes or even collecting entries for your giveaway, and is a place where consistently sharing this information doesn’t come off as spammy as constant emails.
So, share away!
7. Give Back During Ramadan
Something else you might consider is giving back to your community during Ramadan.
Zakat, or almsgiving, is one of the five pillars of Islam, and is a great way to honor the true meaning of the holiday.
At WPForms, we give back to the community by offering discounted plans for nonprofit organizations. We do this not just during Ramadan, but throughout the entire year.
It’s our way of saying thank you to our nonprofit customers for being champions of their missions!
8. Compare Your Holiday Results
When the celebrations have concluded and all your events have ended, you should check out how your Ramadan marketing strategy compares to other holiday sales strategies.
For WPForms users, it’s easy to track your sales wins and coupon results right in your WordPress dashboard.
And you don’t actually have to wait until it’s all said and done — you can follow and analyze your sales as they progress!
How do you think your Ramadan marketing strategies in 2024 will compare to previous years and holidays? We’d love for you to let us know!
When and Where is Ramadan Celebrated?
Ramadan, the holy month in Islam, is celebrated each year during the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. In 2024, Ramadan begins on Sunday, March 10, and ends on Tuesday, April 9.
Ramadan is a time for reflection, family, and community. During this sacred month, Muslims around the world engage in fasting from dawn to sunset, refraining from food, drink, and certain behaviors.
To those who celebrate, Happy Eid!
