Introducing Conversational Forms by WPForms – Interactive Form Layout to Boost Form Completion

Editorial Note: We may earn a commission when you visit links on our website.

Form abandonment is a real problem!

The majority of users who start filling out your forms leave the page before completing it.

Don’t believe me? Just look at your Google Analytics.

Now imagine, how many leads are you losing on a daily basis from visitors due to form abandonment?

Every day you don’t act to fix form abandonment, you’re losing money.

Over the years, we have added solutions to help business owners reduce form abandonment and increase conversions such as our smart form abandonment solution and our high-converting form landing pages.

Today, we’re making WPForms even better with our brand new solution: Conversational Forms.

Conversational Forms by WPForms is the first true interactive form layout built exclusively for WordPress that is guaranteed to boost form completion and your overall form conversions.

Our goal with Conversational Forms is to help make your WordPress forms feel more human. It’s the best Typeform alternative on the market.

Instead of asking all twenty questions at once, Conversational Forms takes the one question at a time approach similar to a face-to-face conversation.

The full-page conversational form layout makes your form less overwhelming and more personal, leading to a better form completion rate.

Similar to our Form Pages addon, Conversational Forms allows you to create a distraction-free conversational form landing page in less than 5 minutes (without writing any code).

You can add your logo, choose a color scheme, and pick from different progress bar styles.

The best part about conversational form landing pages is that your users can complete the entire form using just their keyboard similar to as if they were having a chat conversation on Messenger.

This user experience also works great for smart phones (mobile) and tablets making your forms more accessible for all.

You can use conversational forms to improve your form completion rate on:

  • Survey Forms – Instead of overwhelming people with a lot of survey questions, use the Conversational Forms’ one-question at a time approach to improve your survey completion rate.
  • Job Application Form – 60% of job seekers abandon the job application forms because they’re too long or complicated. With conversational forms, you can make your job application forms easy (source).
  • Event Planning Form – As an event planner, you know how many questions you have to ask clients to plan the perfect event. The step by step, one question at a time approach helps you get the data you need without tiring your clients.
  • User Registration Form – Use conversational forms to improve your registration form conversation rate.

The best part about WPForms’ Conversational Forms addon is that you can turn any of your existing WordPress forms into an interactive form with a click of a button.

And yes, you can use all the powerful WPForms features with Conversational Forms such as our smart form logic, marketing integrations, etc.

We have literally taken the pain out of creating interactive WordPress forms, so you can focus on growing your business.

  1. This is great! I’ve always love Typeform for this style of form but integration with a website has never been that great. Happy to see this come to WPForms for direct integration with websites! πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Melvin,

Thanks for the feedback! We’re always looking for new ways to make WPForms a better plugin to use for our customers. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Todd,

Yes, the abandoned entries feature will still work on the conversational forms so if a user navigates to another page before submitting the form (or closes out of the window/tab) the partial entry will still appear in your WPForms dashboard.

      I hope this helps!

  2. Wow, thank you WPForms! You’ve been one of my best purchases so far!

As a WordPress developer, finding a great WordPress plugin that I can invest in early stage (as in purchase a lifetime license) and then implementing it for clients as part of our USP, is crucial.

Being a holder of OptinMonster Lifetime, it made a lot of sense to jump on board the lifetime bandwagon when Syed announced that he was going to switch to yearly renewals.

Of course, it was expensive. And I already had a lifetime license to Formidable Pro. But wow, WPForms Pro has blown the competition out of the water with this.

    Keep it up, guys!

    1. Hi Leo,

Thanks so much for the great feedback! We’re really happy to hear you’ve been enjoying using WPForms. Our aim is to make this the best and easiest plugin for our customers to use. πŸ™‚

  3. Definitely! loving that this is finally here. On testing, I’m not sure, but is there a way to embed a conversational form into a page? When I embed the form using the new conversation form feature, it shows regular on the page it’s embedded into. Absolutely would love if this style of form can be embedded into a pop-up/overlay on a main page or into a frame with ease.

    1. Hi Sasha-Shae,

We don’t have the ability to embed the conversational form into a page just yet but I’ve made a note on our feature request list so we can keep it on our radar! Thanks for the suggestion πŸ™‚

      1. Hi Ewan.
We don’t have this option available currently. I’ve added your vote to this feature request in our system.

I am a paid member, and I would love to use this feature, but I would need to be able to embed it. Otherwise, it would require folks to click through to a new page.

    1. Hey Matt, I am afraid currently Conversational forms can’t be embedded into a page. We already have this as a feature request. I have gone ahead and added your vote to the feature request.
