Are you looking for an easy way for having your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter? Asking them to join your newsletter is a quick and easy way to grow your email list. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to add a Constant Contact signup checkbox to your WordPress form.
Connect Your Form to Constant Contact
Since the Constant Contact integration is included with the core WPForms plugin, there’s no need to install any addons.
Also, you’ll need to have a form created. See our tutorial on How to Create a Simple Contact Form as an example to get started.
Now that you’ve created your form, it’s time to connect it to your email marketing list.
Within the form editor, go to Marketing » Constant Contact. On the right, click Add New Connection next to Constant Contact.
Click the Click here to register with Constant Contact link and follow the instructions to connect your account. For a step by step guide, see our instructions on how to connect Constant Contact with WPForms.
Once you’re connected, you can select which Constant Contact account you need and list you want to add new subscribers to in the preview panel on the right.
When you scroll down, you’ll see List Fields.
Here you’ll match the names and email address fields on your form to the corresponding fields in your Constant Contact list. The only required field is their email address, but you can also save the user’s name, phone number, address, and more.
Next, we’ll need to make sure that only users who select the checkbox get added to your email list.
You can do this by selecting Enable conditional logic at the very bottom of the preview panel. Be sure to select your Constant Contact signup checkbox field (ours is called “Stay connected”).
Finally, save all the changes you have made to your form and it is ready to be published on your contact page.
That’s it! You’ve just added a constant contact signup checkbox to your WordPress form.
