As soon as we launched WPForms, the most requested feature everybody asked for was an integration with Stripe, a leading online payment solution.
Today, I’m extremely proud to announce the initial release of the Stripe Addon for WPForms.
Now you can easily create Stripe payment forms in WordPress and easily accept credit cards on your website.
Stripe is the best online payment processing solution in the market. That’s why we use it to power the payments here on WPForms. With their simple pricing and painless account setup, anyone can quickly start an online business.
To match the simplicity of Stripe, we made it really easy for you to create payment forms in WordPress, so you can accept online orders or donations on your website.
Now you can setup and sell simple products or services in minutes with one-time credit card payments.
All you have to do is enter your Stripe account key and add the credit card field in your form. It’s that simple.
WPForms’ Stripe addon is available with the Pro and Ultimate license.
You can install the Stripe add-on from your WordPress dashboard or by logging into your account area. Here’s a step by step guide on how to setup Stripe with WPForms.
This is version 1.0 of the add-on, and I expect us to launch several other new features in the coming weeks.
If you’re looking to create a Stripe payment form in WordPress, then get started with WPForms today.
I really love WP Forms UX and enjoy working with it. I would love to see recurring payments ala subscriptions added to the Stripe Add-on Plugin. It would be a nice time saver for setting up monthly services to clients that are automatically billed through Stripe.
Good news, Jon — we just released an update to our Stripe addon for recurring subscriptions — here’s our announcement with a bunch more details! 🙂
If you have any questions about this, please get in touch and our team will be happy to help.
I concur with Jon about recurring subscriptions through Stripe.
I agree is as well 🙂
We don’t have recurring on our roadmap quite yet, but it is definitely a feature we do plan on adding in the future, hopefully later this year!
Does anybody know how to or if it’s possible to use 2 separate stripe accounts with one WPForms installation?
Hi Oscar,
I apologize, but it isn’t currently possible to connect two Stripe accounts, mainly because Stripe is connected to your site as a whole rather than to individual forms. It’s on our radar to consider adding in the future, though, and thanks for the suggestion!
Have a good one 🙂
Hello, has this feature been updated since 2017?
Hey Vincent – I am afraid this is still not available. I can’t provide an ETA about this feature’s availability, but I have gone ahead and added your vote to the feature request.
Thanks for your patience.
Any update on the recurring billing/payment feature?
Hi Waqas,
Thanks for checking in 🙂
As Jared mentioned in a comment above, we plan to add the ability to set up recurring payments for Stripe perhaps as early as this year. However, we don’t have an ETA at this point.
Can you tell me if your stripe add-on creates a payment object in Stripe thus saving the customer’s payment information and data in stripe? If yes, then a work-around to “recurring” or “installments” would be to take first payment with your add-on and then access your stripe account and edit from single payment to recurring on the back-end.
Hi Mark,
Recurring/subscription payments are definitely on our list to consider adding in the future, but unfortunately the approach you describe isn’t possible right now as the addon only allows single payment events. We look forward to making this possible down the road!
Have a good one 🙂
I know you folks are busy as you’ve added some great features over the past year. Would love to still see the stripe recurring payments as a new feature for Christmas!
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the suggestion, and we’re definitely keeping this on the radar for future development 🙂
Any update on Stripe recurring payments?
Hi Michael,
This feature is definitely still on our radar. In case it helps, we announce all new features through both this blog and our mailing list. If you’d like to subscribe, you can use the newsletter signup in the right sidebar of this page. That way you’d be notified of all the latest updates 🙂
Hi, I was just about to buy, when i saw that WP Forms does not work with Stripe subscriptions ?? Any news on when this is possible ??
I really want to switch from the system I use now, but since I only sell subscriptions it is a requirement that this feature works!
Hi Tommy,
The ability to handle subscriptions is definitely on our radar to add, however I don’t have an ETA on that at this stage. We definitely understand that this is a necessity for some business models, and look forward to offering that in the future!
Good news, Tommy — we just released an update to our Stripe addon for recurring subscriptions — here’s our announcement with a bunch more details! 🙂

Howdy Jess!
Rather than signing up for newsletter and stuff, can you give us a SOLID answer when you plan to release monthly and annual recurring payment added to Stripe Add-on Plug?
It would be a time-saver. If it’s going to take longer than six months, just tell us so that we can find another solution. Otherwise, I really like WPForms and will wait.
Hey Miguel,
Thanks for your interest! Stripe Recurring has definitely been one of our most popular requests.
While I don’t have an exact ETA, I can confirm it’s on our road map, and if everything goes as planned, it will be available in the coming months.
Hope that helps 🙂
+1 for recurring donation payments for Stripe and Paypal add-on!
I’ve noted your requests, Elvis! Thanks 🙂
Update on recurring payments?
Hi Phil,
Yes, development is in progress on this for our Stripe addon – though we don’t have an ETA currently. We’re looking forward to this option, too! 🙂

Agreed. +1 for recurring donation payments for Stripe and Paypal add-on!
Hi Seth! The good news is, development is underway for this – specifically for our Stripe addon 🙂
Hello, any idea on when the Stripe subscription will be released ? Days ? Weeks ? More ?
Hi Charles,
We don’t have an ETA just yet, but this is under development right now so we hope to have it ready soon! 🙂

Really love your free plugin, was going to buy the pro version, but I need recurring subscriptions as an option! Please let me know when you have that!
Hey Kevin,
I completely understand – it’s one of our most popular feature request. The good news is recurring payments is coming.
In fact, development of the feature is near completion and is in the testing phase, so it will be out in the very near future 🙂

Dear Mr. Forms,
can I choose another Payment Method from Stripe than credit card, or is that the only option available?
And, it would be great to get the possibility to add “Bank transfer” as payment method beside paypal and stripe, because atm the user only can pay directly instead of a manual bank transfer.
Thanks!
Hi Dennis,
At this time we only support Stripe and Paypal Standard, and will be concentrating on those two payment providers but I’ve made a note on our feature request list so we can keep it on our radar! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
Hello,
I would like to know if it’s possible to combine stripe addon with user registration addon. And is it possible to create the user account only if the payment stripe is validated ?
Thanks for your help !
Hi Anthony,
Yes, you can use both the credit card field (which comes from the Stripe add-on) with a user registration form. By default, a form cannot be submitted if the credit card payment can’t be processed for whatever reason (incorrect number, declined card, etc).
I hope this helps!
Is there anyway to use the Stripe Addon in this way:
A user fills out the form, including credit card info. The site owner goes in later and approves the transaction, at which point the transaction is processed.
We have a form to register as a vendor for an event. However, not everyone will be approved, and right now we have to chase down payment from prospective vendors. It would be great if we could secure the payment info up front, with an understanding that processing would not happen until the application was approved.
Hi C Smith,
We don’t have a way to do this right now, but I’ve made a note on our feature request list so we can keep it on our radar! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
Hello, is it possible to add payment methods to the registration form?
The plan is to give the user a chance to provide credit card information during registration (via stripe). users who provide payment information get a different user role then users who don’t.
Is there a way to do that with wpforms? or do you offer custom code? (paid of course)
Hi Patrick,
Yes, we do offer a Stripe integration with our plugin and you can add a credit card field to any of your forms to collect payment when a user submits a form to you. For more information on how this works, please check out our Stripe guide.
I hope this helps! 🙂
