AI Summary
ChatGPT can already write your emails, plan your projects, and help debug your code. So why not let it build your WordPress forms too?
With the right connection in place, you can ask ChatGPT to create a contact form, add fields, edit labels, and update your form settings, and watch it all happen inside WPForms.
In this guide, I’ll walk through exactly how to build WordPress forms with ChatGPT. It takes a few minutes to set up, and once it’s done, building a form is as simple as describing the one you need.

How to Build WordPress Forms With ChatGPT
To let ChatGPT work with your site, you connect it through a WordPress MCP server, and the easiest place to start is WPVibe, a free-to-start server from SeedProd, part of the same team behind WPForms.
I set this up on my own site, and ChatGPT dropped a complete order form into WPForms from one prompt, with the fields placed just as I’d described them.
Step 1: Install the WPForms Pro Plugin
ChatGPT builds your forms inside WPForms, so the plugin needs to be on your site before anything else. If it’s already there, go ahead and skip to the next step.
WPForms is the most beginner-friendly form builder for WordPress, used by more than 6+ million sites. It already gives you plenty of ways to build a form, from its drag-and-drop builder to its own AI tools.
Connecting ChatGPT adds one more and is free on WPForms Lite, which covers eight field types, but I recommend using WPForms Pro as it unlocks all field types, 40+ addons, including payments, surveys, and a lot more!

To get started, install WPForms Pro on your site. If you need a hand, follow these instructions on how to add a plugin to WordPress.
Step 2: Install WPVibe From the AI MCP Page
Before ChatGPT can see your site, your site needs a way to expose its forms to it. That job belongs to WPVibe, a free plugin from SeedProd, part of the same team behind WPForms.
Open your WordPress dashboard and go to WPForms » Tools, then click the AI MCP tab. Everything tied to AI assistants lives on this page, including the button you need now and the access toggle you’ll need later.

Press Install & Activate WPVibe, and WPForms downloads the plugin, turns it on, reloads the page, and drops a Vibe AI entry into your admin menu so you can tell it worked.

Step 3: Add the WPVibe App in ChatGPT
ChatGPT differs from other assistants here, because WPVibe is a native app you add from the Apps directory instead of pasting a connection URL. That keeps the setup quick, since ChatGPT already knows how to work with apps listed there.
In ChatGPT, open Apps from the sidebar and search for WPVibe. The Apps directory is where ChatGPT connects to the outside tools you use, like Canva or Booking.com.

Open the WPVibe app and click the Connect button in the top corner. The app page lists its capability as Writes, since it can build and change content on your site, though here you only need it for forms.

A window titled Add WPVibe to ChatGPT appears with a short note reminding you that you stay in control of what the app can access, so click Sign in with WPVibe to continue.

Enter your email on the WPVibe sign-in page, and it sends you a magic link. Open the email from WPVibe and click Sign In to finish, and keep in mind the link expires after 15 minutes.

The magic link signs you in without a password, so you never share your WordPress login with ChatGPT during setup.
Step 4: Connect Your Site and Confirm the Link
The app is connected, but ChatGPT still needs to know which site to work with, so you point it at yours with a single prompt.
In a new chat, type “Connect my site at yoursite.com” using your real address. ChatGPT gets your site connected and shows details like your WordPress version, active theme, and that the site supports the Abilities API.

You’ll notice a small WPVibe chip in the message box once the app is active in the chat, so you can tell when ChatGPT is working with your site.
To make sure it can see your forms, ask “What forms do I have?” ChatGPT reads your site and lists every form on it, which confirms the connection is working end to end.

If ChatGPT can’t find your site or forms, double-check that WPVibe is active on your WordPress site, then run the connect prompt again.
Step 5: Turn On Write Access in WPForms
ChatGPT can read your forms at this stage, but building them needs one more permission. Write access is the switch that allows it, and WPForms keeps that switch off by default.
Separating reading from writing is deliberate, so an assistant can look around your site long before it can change anything on it.
Head back to WPForms » Tools » AI MCP, where the Enable MCP Write Access toggle is sitting in the off position. While it’s off, the form-building tools stay hidden from ChatGPT.

Switch the toggle on, and a Saved indicator appears to confirm it. ChatGPT can start creating and editing forms for you right away, with no need to reconnect or refresh.
Step 6: Ask ChatGPT to Build Your Form
With the connection live and write access on, you can ask ChatGPT for a form in plain language and it builds it in WPForms.
In your chat, type a prompt like “Build a flower delivery order form with name, email, phone, a delivery date, a dropdown to choose the bouquet, and a delivery address”, then send it.

ChatGPT asks permission before it uses WPVibe, so you always see what it’s about to do. Approve the request, and it starts building the form
A moment later, ChatGPT confirms the form is built and tells you which fields it added, including the phone field and the delivery date.

Open WPForms » All Forms and your new order form is sitting there, ready to open. It’s a normal WPForms form, the same as one you’d build by hand, so everything in the builder works on it.
If you’d rather not leave WordPress, you can also build one inside the WPForms builder with the same kind of prompt and edit your existing form using Smart Edit.
Step 7: Review and Publish Your Form
ChatGPT hands you a finished form, and the last step is making sure it matches what you pictured before it goes live. A quick review in the builder also lets you add the few things ChatGPT leaves to you.
Click your order form in WPForms » All Forms to open it in the builder. Check that the fields, labels, and order match what you asked for, and adjust anything by hand or with another ChatGPT prompt if something is off.

ChatGPT builds fields and basic settings, but it leaves your notifications and confirmations alone on purpose.
Open the Settings tab and set up email notifications so each order reaches the right inbox. Then write the confirmation message customers see after they order.

For deeper changes inside the builder, like rewriting fields or adding conditional logic, Smart Edit handles them from a chat panel right there.
Send a test order too, so you can see exactly what lands in your inbox before real customers do. When everything checks out, add the form to a page with the WPForms block and style it.
To make quick work of styling your form, you can select a ready-made theme under the Form Theme section. In this example, I’m using the Jungle theme (which is one of my favorites).
When you’re happy with how everything looks, click the Publish button at the top right of the editor. Your order form is now live on your site, built from a single ChatGPT prompt and ready to take orders.

FAQs About Building WordPress Forms With ChatGPT
A few questions come up a lot when people first connect ChatGPT to WordPress and build forms by chat.
Do I need to know how to code?
No, the whole setup is point-and-click and chat with no code or API keys involved. You add the WPVibe app in ChatGPT, sign in, and describe the form you want.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT plan?
You need a ChatGPT plan that includes apps, which is available on ChatGPT Plus and higher, and the WPVibe app itself is free to add.
Which other AI assistants can build my forms?
Claude and Cursor work too, since WPVibe supports any assistant that uses the Model Context Protocol. The connection steps differ slightly per assistant, but the result is the same.
Is it safe to give ChatGPT write access?
Yes, write access is off until you turn it on, only an administrator can enable it, and you can switch it off at any time. ChatGPT also asks permission before each change, and everything it does shows up in the builder for you to review.
What can’t ChatGPT do with my forms?
ChatGPT builds forms, adds and edits fields, and updates a form’s title, description, and submit button. It won’t delete forms or change notifications, confirmations, conditional logic, or payment settings, so those stay in your hands in the builder.
Which fields can ChatGPT add?
ChatGPT works with common fields like name, email, phone, date and time, file upload, dropdowns, multiple choice, checkboxes, numbers, and paragraph text. That covers most of what an order form or a registration form needs.
Can ChatGPT work with my form entries too?
Yes, once connected, ChatGPT can browse and search your entries and pull up a single submission, so you can ask quick questions about your orders. E
ntry access stays read-only, and for analyzing or summarizing submissions you can also send AI-generated notifications with ChatGPT.
