Plenty of people who write to you would happily hear from you again. They just don’t want to fill out a second form to do it. This Mailchimp Signup Contact Form Template lets them send a message and, if they choose, join your email list in the same step.
The form asks for a name, an email address, and a message. Below that is an email updates checkbox, unticked by default, that says what people are signing up for and that they can unsubscribe at any time.
How the Mailchimp Signup Contact Form Template Works
When someone ticks the box, the WPForms Mailchimp addon adds them to the audience you choose. Turn on double opt-in, and Mailchimp sends a confirmation email first, so only people who click the link join your list. The confirmation message on the form tells them to look out for it.
You can tag every subscriber from this form, for example “Website contact”, so you know where they came from and can send them a welcome email or segment them later. If the person is already in your audience, the addon can update their profile instead of failing. Conditional logic on the connection makes sure nobody is subscribed unless they tick the box.
It works as a contact form with newsletter signup for a blog, small business, consultant, or online shop. It’s also a simple way to add a Mailchimp opt-in checkbox to the contact page you already have.
You’ll get an email for every message, set up so you can reply straight to the sender, and they’ll get a copy of what they sent. Change the checkbox wording to describe your own emails, or add fields and map them to Mailchimp merge fields.
The Mailchimp addon is included with WPForms Plus and higher.
