When someone writes to you through your site, agreeing to let you reply isn’t the same as agreeing to get your marketing emails. Privacy laws like the GDPR and UK GDPR treat those as separate choices, and your contact form should too.
This Constant Contact GDPR Form Template keeps them apart. Visitors send their name, email, and message, and tick a required box agreeing that you can store their details to reply. A second box, unticked and optional, lets them join your newsletter. Only people who tick it are added to your Constant Contact list.
It suits any business, coach, agency, online shop, or nonprofit with visitors in Europe or the UK, whether you call it a GDPR contact form with a newsletter opt-in, a marketing consent checkbox, or a double consent form for Constant Contact.
How the Constant Contact GDPR Form Template Works
The form has five fields. Name, email, and message come first. The GDPR agreement follows, so you have a record of consent to store the message. The email newsletter box comes last, with wording that tells people they can unsubscribe at any time. You can edit both consent texts to match your own privacy policy and the emails you actually send.
Constant Contact is built into WPForms, so there’s no addon to install. Connect your account in the WPForms integration settings by signing in to Constant Contact. Then, in the form builder, add a Constant Contact connection, choose the list, and map the email field. You can also map other fields to Constant Contact custom fields.
To make the newsletter box do its job, turn on conditional logic for the connection so it only runs when the box is ticked. Conditional logic comes with every paid WPForms plan. On WPForms Lite the connection can’t check the box, so everyone who sends a message would be added to your list. The GDPR agreement field appears once GDPR Enhancements is switched on in your WPForms settings.
Combining the two makes sense because people who write to you are often already interested in what you do. Offering the newsletter at that moment can grow your list, and keeping the box optional means nobody is added just because they asked a question.
You’ll get an email notification for every message, set up so you can reply straight to the sender. New subscribers show up in your Constant Contact list, where you manage them as usual.
This template helps you ask for and record consent. It doesn’t make your site compliant on its own. Link your privacy policy in the agreement text, and check the rules that apply where your visitors live.
