What Goes on a Career Interest Survey?
First, the form gathers the name and contact information of the survey-taker. On our form, we’ve also included fields for the user’s age and gender.
Then, the survey asks the user to rate their interest in 15 different career fields. These career fields include agriculture, IT programming, social services, and more. The user will rate their interest in each field on a scale of “Very Disinterested” to “Very Interested.”
Beneath these fields, the user is provided a space to type additional fields of interest that aren’t listed on the form.
Next, the user is asked to rate their personal and professional qualities, which include being creative, organized, self-motivated, and more. The user will indicate their range of agreement for each of the qualities, and can provide additional qualities of their’s that aren’t listed on the form.
The last rating scale the user completes has to do with their hobbies and interests. You’ll find 15 hobbies listed here, including fishing, painting, and volunteering, to name a few. The user will rate their enjoyment of each hobby, ranging from “Very Unappealing” to “Very Enjoyable.”
Once again, the user can describe additional hobbies not listed on the survey.
The Career Interest Survey then provides three areas with ample space where the user can explain their career preferences and goals.
Finally, the user is given plenty of space to explain anything else they’d like the screener to know.
