#### Is info@ a good business email?

No, an info@ email address isn’t really a good business email choice. It’s so widely used that it’s hard to identify a specific person in the inbox, and it can feel impersonal to customers.

Using your actual first name is a much better business practice because it feels more personal.

Personal interactions are good for keeping your customers engaged and delivering a better overall experience for your audience.

When you create an email address at *yourcompany.com*, you can also create as many email aliases as you need, so `info@` and `support@` can still exist as catch-all forwards to a real human inbox.

#### Should I publish my new email address?

Now you have a brand new email address, you’ll probably want to share it. But sometimes, sharing email addresses online isn’t a great idea.

For a business email at your own domain through Google, you need Google Workspace. Google Workspace has a 14-day free trial, after which the Business Starter plan costs $6/user/month. So Gmail itself is free, but using Gmail for business with a custom domain is not.

If you want to keep using the Gmail interface without paying, you can also forward email from a custom domain (set up through a provider like Zoho or Cloudflare Email Routing) into your free @gmail.com account. #### Can I move my existing email to a custom domain?

You can’t physically move an existing @gmail.com inbox to a custom domain (Gmail belongs to Google). But you can do something close.
