Integrate WPForms With Basecamp
After the installation, you’ll need to create a simple WordPress form. You can see our tutorial on creating a simple contact form in WPForms. Let’s rename the form as Basecamp for the sake of this example.
In order to send WordPress form entries to Basecamp, you’ll need to install and activate the Zapier addon on your site.
The Zapier addon lets you connect your WordPress forms to over 500+ web apps, including the Basecamp 3 app.

Now let’s take a look at how to send WordPress form entries to Basecamp.
Make a New Zap
Log into your Zapier account and click the Make a Zap button in the top navigation.
Then, follow Zapier’s step by step guide to create a Zap. To see screenshots of every step, you can refer to our tutorial on using Zapier with WPForms.
Make sure to choose the Basecamp form you just created, when you’re asked to setup Edit Options. You must have at least one test entry on your form before fetching existing entries.
You should then see a successful confirmation message.
Connect Your WordPress Forms to Basecamp
Now that you’ve connected Zapier to WPForms plugin, it’s time to connect WPForms to Basecamp 3.
The first step is to choose Basecamp 3 as the action app. Use the search bar to find the Basecamp 3 app and click on it.
Then, you’ll be asked to select Basecamp 3 action. You’ll find a few different actions to choose from. Let’s choose Create Project in this example.
Choosing this action will help you create a new project automatically in your Basecamp account whenever your clients submit your form. This way, you don’t have to manually copy project requirements from your form entries to your Basecamp account.
Now you need to connect your Basecamp 3 account to Zapier. Click Connect a New Account. To do this, you’ll need to authorize Zapier to access your Basecamp data. After authorizing it, click Continue.
Now you’ll be asked to set up Basecamp 3 Project. In this step, you’ll need to connect each form field to the appropriate Basecamp field.
Now the tricky part is that you need to connect any extra fields in your online form to the Description field. For example, since our online form contains an Email field and the Zapier’s Basecamp app doesn’t come with that field, we need to connect it to Description. See the below screenshot.
After connecting the fields, click Continue.
If you want to test the integration, just click on Test. You can now see the data that has been updated in your Basecamp account. Click Create & Continue.
Now, you may even log into your Basecamp account to verify the updated data.
In the final step, make sure to turn on your Zap. You can also give your Zap an appropriate name. By turning on Zap, you can add a new project to Basecamp whenever someone fills out your form.
