Step 1: Create a New WordPress Form
After a successful installation, you’ll need to create a new form. Here’s the process in a nutshell:

For our form, we will use fields such as Name, Business/Organization, and Email.
After you have your form created, you will then need to install and activate the Zapier addon. This way you can import leads from submitted forms into your Freshsales CRM.

Now, let’s take a look at how to connect your WordPress forms to the Freshsales CRM.
Step 2: Create a New Zap
Log into your Zapier account and click on the Make a Zap button near the top of the screen. If you don’t already have a Zapier account, you can create one here .
From there, you’ll need to set up a trigger for your zap. For screenshots of every step required to set up a form trigger, see our tutorial on using Zapier with WPForms.
Before moving forward, it is important to make sure that you have had at least one test entry on your form so that you can proceed through the entire trigger setup process.
To create a test entry on your newly created form you can test it on the frontend of your website, but only if you have already embedded it onto your website for use by site visitors.
If you have not embedded your Freshsales form onto your site, you can perform a test entry from the WPForms preview page for that particular form.
Click on Preview to view your Freshsales form. From there, fill out all of the details and click on Submit. This will register as one entry so you can continue setting up your Zapier zap trigger.
Now that you have one successful entry on your Freshsales form, go back to your Zapier account.
After connecting to your WPForms account, choose the Freshsales form you just created.
Zapier will run a test on your Freshsales form to make sure everything is set up correctly and that you have at least one test entry present. You will see a success message if you have done everything right up until this point.
Step 3: Connect Your WordPress Forms to Freshsales
Now that Zapier is connected to the WPForms plugin, it’s time to connect WPForms to Freshsales.
After setting up WPForms as the trigger app in Zapier, you’ll need to choose Freshsales as the action app. Using the search bar, find the Freshsales app and click on it.
You will then select a Freshsales action. Since we are looking to create a Freshsales lead in WordPress, we will click on the Create Lead option and then click Save + Continue.
You will then need to connect your Freshsales account to Zapier. Start by clicking on Connect an Account.
In the modal popup that appears, you’ll need to allow Zapier to access your Freshsales account in order to complete the connection. After providing permission, click on Yes, Continue.
Now you will need to select your Freshsales account. Click Save + Continue.
Next, you’ll be asked to select what data will be sent to Freshsales when a form on your site is submitted. In this step, connect each contact form field you created on your form to the appropriate Freshsales field.
In our example, we had First Name, Last Name, Business/Organization, and Email.
Then click Continue.
If you want to test your Freshsales lead all you need to do is click on Test.
You have now successfully created a Freshsales lead and tested it. After clicking Finish, Zapier will ask you to name your zap and turn it on. This way all Freshsales lead form submissions will add immediately to your Freshsales CRM.
Now, you can log into your Freshsales account and verify that lead information is going to your CRM.
And that’s it! Now anytime someone comes to your website and fills out your Freshsales lead form, they will automatically be added as a lead in your Freshsales CRM. From there, you can build a relationship with them with targeted email marketing.
